Manchester City host Wolves in the Premier League late kickoff, looking to put more pressure on league leaders Arsenal and keep their title aspirations in their own hands. Wolves have been riddled with injuries, hampering their promising season.
Manchester City have been relentless this season, winning five games on the bounce as they close in on an unprecedented fourth straight Premier League title. Pep Guardiola's side are unbeaten at home, winning 12 and drawing five of their games at the Etihad.
The return of Kevin De Bruyne from injury has coincided with City's upturn in form with the Belgian maestro laying on 15 assists and scoring six goals in 21 appearances this season. Erling Haaland is also well-rested after scoring off the bench in 0-2 win over Nottingham Forest.
Wolves had a strong start to the season, with Europe spoken about as a pipeline dream for the Wanderers. However, seven games without a win in all competitions and back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Bournemouth have killed any hopes of Europe. The 2-1 win over Luton last weekend arrested this slump, but Wolves come into this game as heavy underdogs.
Gary O'Neil's side are currently 11th in the league, two points behind Bournemouth and three off West Ham in ninth. A Top half-finish will surely be the aim for the rest of the season. Goalscoring has been an issue for Wolves so far, only scoring 48 goals this season.

Saturday's meeting is the 130th between the sides, with Manchester City's recent dominance seeing them slightly edge the record with 54 wins to Wolves 50. Wolves did actually win the meeting at Molineux earlier in the season, with Hwang's 66th minute winner the difference between the sides.
Gvardiol opened the scoring in Manchester City’s 0-2 win over Nottingham Forest last time out, getting on the end of Kevin De Bruyne’s flat front post corner. It was his second goal in three Premier League games, with Gvardiol scoring a fine edge-of-the-area goal in the 5-1 drubbing of Luton, akin to his goal away at Real Madrid in the Champions League.
His recent goalscoring exploits are indicative of the new-found freedom he has been afforded on the left side. Gvardiol has had at least one shot in 12 of his last 16 Premier League games, shooting at least twice in six of these.
Wolves have struggled defensively this season conceding 55 goals. Set pieces have also been a prominent issue for Gary O’Neil’s side, with Wanderers conceding 4.11 shots from set pieces per game. Their opponents have also accumulated 11.44 xG from set pieces against them this season.
Gvardiol has shown his ability to score from anywhere, whether it be from open play or set pieces. With Wolves expected to come to the Etihad and sit deep, Gvardiol should have an opportunity to get on the scoresheet.
City should have far too much for Wolves. Pep's side have yet to taste defeat at home in the league, while Wolves have only won one of their last eight games. However, there could be value in the +2.5 asian handicap market for the away side, as they will come to frustrate the hosts.
