World Cup Betting Tips Today: Predictions & Best Bets for June 26th

There are six matches to feast upon today at the World Cup starting with the favourites, France, who come up against Norway in a battle for top spot. Senegal must beat Iraq to stay alive, while the same applies to Iran and Belgium later on. A win for Cape Verde would see their fairytale continue, but Uruguay will have something to say about that when they face Spain to remain in the tournament.

Our tipster Nathan Joyes has six bets lined up and has once again provided his best World Cup tips below.

Norway vs France

Both Norway and France have flexed their muscles in Group I and it's a winner take all situation for top spot. France have the upper hand and are in the driving seat thanks to their superior goal difference, all while only conceding a late Senegal thunderbolt.

And that could be the difference here. France have been almost foot perfect, while Norway have yet to keep a clean sheet. In fact, they've kept just two in their last 10, one being Israel and the other a drab 0-0 friendly against the Swiss.

France a short price - and for good reason - but once again there can be goals as Didier Deschamps' side flex their muscles.

Therefore, I'm sticking up France to win and over 1.5 goals at 5/6 BetMGM.

Senegal vs Iraq

Senegal must beat Iraq to remain in the World Cup. Goal difference may also be a deciding factor, and fortunately they come up against an opponent that has been conceding for fun.

Iraq have shipped in seven goals in their opening two matches that has seen them swiftly exit the competition. They will want to go out swinging, but once again this group has been incredibly tough and it could take its toll having to chase around another top nation.

Senegal wasted opportunities against France and Norway but both of those sides are far stronger than Iraq. Senegal can win this comfortably and deservedly progress to the knockouts after two above par performances.

My main tip is Senegal -1.5 handicap at 7/10 with BetMGM.

Egypt vs Iran

Egypt have qualified for the knockout stage but will still want to wrap up top spot in Group G. It won't be easy against Iran who have not won, but drawn both of their matches to date.

Iran were sluggish defensively against New Zealand but vastly improved against Belgium, holding the Red Devils to a 0-0 draw. Belgium huffed and puffed, and penned Iran back for long periods, but lacked a cutting edge in front of goal.

Egypt, however, have scored four goals and have looked sharp in the final third. But the Pharaohs are far from bullet proof, and have conceded in both matches to date. Iran will have the incentive to join them in the knockout stage, and after having a goal cruelly ruled out last time, they can return to the scoresheet and sign off Group G in style.

New Zealand vs Belgium

Both New Zealand and Belgium must win if they are to survive at this World Cup and yet it's difficult to know exactly who's going to come out on top. Belgium, in theory, should brush the Kiwis to one side without any issues. However, from what we have seen so far, it might not be that simple.

So, instead of chasing what appears to be quite a high handicap line, it might be worth chancing New Zealand to score in three consecutive matches. They have been good value for their goals as well, deservedly firing against both Iran and Egypt, and this hasn't been a fluke.

The pressure is on Belgium, but they may have a lapse in concentration and the Kiwis to also find the back of the net is odds-against.

Therefore, my main tip is BTTS Yes at 11/8 with BetMGM.

Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia

Cape Verde have two points and one more might be enough for them to achieve what looked to be impossible. They fought back bravely to bank another precious point against Uruguay and now head into their final match as favourites.

However, Saudi Arabia aren't down and out yet - and the first goal int his clash looks to be crucial. A win for either nation would see them qualify and send the other one home - and that would be a cruel blow having taken points off two nations expected to walk this group.

With that in mind, the game may be decided on a single moment - but that could come in the second half with neither nation looking to slip up or show their hand too early.

Uruguay vs Spain

Uruguay must beat Spain in order to guarantee qualification. A draw might be enough, but at this stage Marcelo Bielsa must try to beat the European champions - something La Celeste have not managed to do since they first met back in 1951.

Their opening two matches have produced poor performances and draws against Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde. With no clean sheets to their name, Uruguay are likely to have to score at least two goals to win this. That, at present, looks a stretch. However, one goal certainly isn't considering what's at stake.

Admittedly, Spain are yet to concede. Yet Cape Verde had their chances and Uruguay are still a far more dangerous side than the two they have faced thus far. Maxi Araujo is two from two, and he could be the main threat for Bielsa. Uruguay may go out - but they won't go down without a fight and Spain can concede their first goal of this World Cup.

Therefore, my main tip is BTTS Yes at 19/20 with BetMGM.
