World Cup Betting Tips Today: Predictions & Best Bets for June 30th

The knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup continue on Tuesday with favourites France in action, while there's two incredible ties that follow. Ivory Coast and Norway will lock horns before co-hosts Mexico will take on Ecuador for a potential spot in the round of 16 which may see them meet England.

Our World Cup tipster Nathan Joyes returns with three bets hoping to bank more profit. Read his World Cup tips below.

France vs Sweden

France are firm favourites to brush aside Sweden and it's difficult to argue with the market. Didier Deschamps' side were almost flawless in the group stage, coming away with maximum points and in style with 10 goals. Their head coach admitted there's still work to do having conceded two, but in the final third he can't ask for much more.

And that is what makes France incredibly dangerous against Sweden - a nation that have yet to keep a clean sheet and shipped in five vs the Netherlands. Graham Potter's side may be a threat themselves in the final third but it hasn't been pretty at the back.

In fact, Sweden haven't kept a clean sheet in 14 matches and it doesn't look as though they can start against the World Cup favourites.

With Kylian Mbappe gunning for the golden boot and Ousmane Dembele heading into this fresh off the back of a first half hattrick vs Norway, it's impossible to ignore another huge win for the boys in blue.

France are very short but combined with goals there's a good looking angle to take.

Therefore, I'm sticking up  France and over 2.5 goals at 7/10 with BetMGM.

Ivory Coast vs Norway

Two highly impressive nations will clash in Texas and sadly one will have to go home. Ivory Coast beat Ecuador and ran Germany close in the group stage before breezing past Curacao, and alongside Morocco, may be the best African nation in the World Cup.

Amad Diallo scored the winner vs Ecuador while Nicolas Pepe scored a brace against Curacao. However, the young star of this team - and potentially the World Cup thus far - has no doubt been Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old has seriously impressed and he registered his first goal contribution last time out.

Norway are full of goals. They managed to score eight in the group stage, despite resting the vast majority of their squad against France, and will feel confident they can break down the Ivory Coast having put three past Senegal.

However, Norway failed to keep a clean sheet and haven't for five matches now. That could be a real issue if they want to progress deeper in this tournament. With Erling Haaland up top, Norway will always feel confident but basic errors are costing them at the other end of the pitch.

With both attacks looking sharp, an early goal could really open this match up, and it could go either way. Instead of working out who's qualifying, the goals market once again looks appealing and where we can potentially profit.

Therefore, I'm happy to play Over 2.5 goals at 4/5 with BetMGM.

Mexico vs Ecuador

There's a huge class at Estadio Azteca this week as once again Mexico put their incredible record at this stadium on the line. El Tri head into this having won all three group matches without conceding. Impressive? Of course. But the level of opponents wasn't anything that would concern La Tri.

Ecuador narrowly lost 1-0 against Ivory Coast despite hitting the crossbar twice and dominating the opening 45 minutes. A 0-0 with Curacao followed - a result where everyone thought their World Cup was over. Yet against Germany, Ecuador fought back bravely to beat the European giants and secure their spot in the knockout stage.

Two incredibly strong defensive units go head-to-head and it could well take extra time to break either of them. La Tri only conceded five goals in 18 qualifiers, and technically only one should have stood in the group stage. Ecuador are used to the altitude which doesn't hand Mexico an advantage, and unders could be the best shout.

I'm backing Under 1.5 match goals at 13/10 with BetMGM.
