In a nutshell, that’s all you need to know to understand the answer to the question ‘When are the World Cup Quarter-finals?’
The World Cup Quarter-finals are the second part of the knock-out phase of this tournament. That means that a draw is not possible and extra time and then penalties will be used to ensure a winner is crowned, should the game not be settled in normal play.
The winners of the Quarter-finals see the remaining potential champions go from eight to four and move onto the Semi-finals World Cup fixtures. These matches will go down on the 14th and 15th July.
The winners of these games will then go on to face off in the World Cup Finals, which will take place on Sunday 19th July.
The simple answer to this question is that we don’t currently know who the teams in the Quarter-finals will be for sure at the time of writing. The way we find out is through the group stages, and then the Round of 16.
The group stages sees both winners and runners-up of their group move onto the Round of 32. This takes place from the 29th July to the 3rd July. The Round of 32 is also in a knockout format, and will be reduced to the Round of 16 which runs from July 4th until July 7th. After those two rounds, you will have the teams in the FIFA 2026 World Cup Quarter-finals.
We can’t for sure tell you who will make it this far into the World Cup – although some are certainly more likely than others. And while we can say there are many interesting betting markets to choose from, we also can’t be certain beyond doubt that any prediction will come true.
What we can be sure of, though, is that sporting history will be made in the World Cup Quarter-finals, no matter the teams involved. And we’re pretty certain great football will be played, pulses quickened, and memories cemented on the grandest of stages. It’s an event that football and betting fans alike won’t want to miss – and by paying attention to the information on this page, you won’t have to.
